Ashok Paudel: Certified Heart Doctor

Hello, I am Dr Ashok Paudel, a certified cardiologist for your healthy heart. I was born in Nepal as a son of GURU. I completed my secondary school in Nepal. Besides learning modern Western education i also gained education about Eastern philosophy and ancient scripts. I was one of the top 100 students in Nepal and was granted a scholarship for medical school in Turkey. After learning the Turkish language for a year I completed medical school at Ankara University School of Medicine.

Heart disease being the number one killer throughout the world, I was always interested in cardiology. My greatest ambition was to bridge the traditional practices used in the Eastern population with the latest developments in cardiology and apply a holistic approach to heart health. I finished my cardiology from Marmara University School of Medicine, Department of Cardiology in 2017. I worked as a full-time cardiologist for eight years ( 2017 – 2024) at Acibadem Altunizade Hospital.

During this period I also broadened my knowledge by participating in ‘The Pacemaker Principles in Clinical Practice Course (Medtronic, Istanbul, Turkey) in 2018 and the Cardiac Arrhythmia Management Fellowship Program(Abbott, Brussel, Belgium) in 2018-2019’. During this period I gained experience in following cardiac patients, critically ill patients, arrhythmia management, heart attack management, coronary artery and peripheral artery disease management and interventions, (angiography, angioplasty and stent), deep vein thrombosis management and intervention, pulmonary embolism management and intervention, heart failure management, pacemaker and ICD implantation etc.

I also worked as a cardiologist for top sports clubs Fenerbahce and Beşiktas for 5 years and gained experience and knowledge about sports cardiology, athlete heart, the importance of heart health and regular cardiac controls in professional athletes. I emphasise the principle that ‘a healthy heart resides on a healthy mind’ and have a holistic approach to heart patients. People with a healthy soul and calm nature are less prone to have heart disease and those who already have it can live their lives without any fear and anxiety if they can adapt their lifestyle to fulfill the need of their soul and stay calm.
